Rise of Glory is an excellent flight simulator action game that has great 3D visuals and engaging gameplay (Video Review)
Overall Score: 5/5
The solid presentation, stellar gameplay, and lengthy lasting value makes this dog fighting plane game into a winner. Everything about it is fun yet challenging! You may find that time really flies by when doing barrel rolls at 240 knots in this engaging action flight simulator.
Gameplay: 5/5
The controls might take a little getting used to, since you need to learn how to handle the plane, which I believe is a decent example of realism. Throughout the campaign you are treated to an excellent variety of gameplay ranging from taking down enemy trains to completing surveillance missions. All of the aerial fights are extremely fun thanks to the great AI.
Presentation: 5/5
The graphics are extremely great, and they really shine (literally) when you aim your plane towards the sun. The flaps on the planes actually move, and the body of the plane shows visible damage when you are hit by enemies. You get a great sense of the 3D world thanks to the smooth graphics. The sounds are also equally impressive. There isn’t any music playing in the background, but the sound of your propeller, machine guns, and war planes flying over your head, sound incredible.
Lasting Value: 5/5
The campaign lasts about 3 hours, and if you still want more you can play the custom game mode, where you can choose from 4 different modes (deathmatch, team deathmatch, bases, capture the flag) and change a lot of other variables. Then you can fly into the battle with whichever plane you choose. The campaign never gets boring during its 3 hours thanks to the variation in gameplay and scenery, and the custom game mode also doesn’t get boring thanks to the challenging AI.
