With great gameplay and polished visuals, the only thing holding Pirate’s Path back is its shorter lasting value.

A perfect gameplay score on a simple match-3 type game? The gameplay in Pirate’s Path is surprisingly good. There are plenty of different elements (dropping certain game pieces to the bottom of the board, collecting a number of pieces, flipping tiles) which keep the game interesting. Plus there are various bonus pieces that you can use to explode alike pieces, link together different pieces, and more. And the controls work perfectly.
Presentation: 4/5
Pirate’s Path looks polished and professional. The music also fits well with the game.
Lasting Value: 3/5
The only real disappointment in Pirate’s Path is that it ends so soon. You’ll get about an hour an a half or maybe two hours from one play-through of the game. You can still go back to get all 3 flags on each level, but it’d be great if there were more levels!
