Back in June, Facebook announced a major update for Portal smart display with several new features including Messenger Rooms support, support for backgrounds during video calls and more. Today, Facebook announced a new update which brings support for Netflix, Zoom video calls and more.
Portal TV already supports several video streaming services, including Amazon Prime Video, SHOWTIME and SLING TV. And from today, you can enjoy all your favorite shows and movies on Netflix with Portal TV. Facebook is also announcing a new remote that features one-touch buttons for Prime Video, Facebook Watch and Netflix. Facebook is shipping this new remote with Portal TV from today.
Zoom on Portal is now available on Portal Mini, Portal and Portal+ in all regions where Portal is sold. With high-fidelity sound and an AI-powered Smart Camera, you can have a great Zoom experience using Portal.
Facebook today also announced that “Hey Portal” voice control is now available in Spanish (US) in addition to English.
