Good news everyone, VentureBeat is reporting that on December 6th, EA and BioWare will be showing off something Dragon Age 4 related at the Game Awards.

In the category of not-so-good-news-everyone, the game won’t be released for numerous years.

In a late November blog update from BioWare Community Manager Casey Hudson, the company announced that they were working on “some secret Dragon Age stuff” and to keep an eye out for more information.

We can assume that the announcement at the Game Awards will at least talk about what Dragon Age 4 may entail, but VentureBeat said that EA declined to comment on any details.

According to sources familiar with the studio, the game is at least 3 years away, and BioWare and EA have yet to even settle on a name for the latest game. The game has also apparently been in limbo for at least a year now, being pushed aside in favor of Anthem and having earlier work on the project scrapped.

Dragon Age is a fantasy role-playing series set in the world of Thedas, with each installment following the adventures of an individual who is destined to change fate forever. The last installment, Dragon Age: Inquisition, came out in November 2014.
