BCG Names Microsoft the Fourth Most Innovative Company of 2015

The Boston Consulting Group released its annual report on the 50 most innovative companies for 2015 on Wednesday. Microsoft retained its rank of 4th for the 4th year in a row. BCG found Apple and Google to be the top two spots. The real change came from Tesla who only two years ago was number 41 on this list, now they have launched up the list to the third spot.

How does BCG figure out this list? They asked 1,500 business executives to pick who they considered the most innovative company. Executives were not allowed to vote for their own company. The rankings also factor in how much money companies have returned to shareholders.
