Microsoft recently started retiring their old Technet employee blogs, often used by employees to explain a new technology and to communicate with developers.
When the community realized this Microsoft ran into unexpected protest, due to the amount of knowledge contained in the posts, which are often not replicated anywhere else, usually in the blog posts, but often also in the comments.
Microsoft is currently in a more responsive phase and has decided to roll back the changes and make the Technet posts once again visible.
Thank you for your patience, we have now re-activated thousands of MSDN and TechNet blogs while we continue to work on the longer-term blog archive.

Microsoft is still working on a long-term archiving solution which will keep the information accessible, so it may be worthwhile grabbing a particularly valuable blog post yourself in case Microsoft’s final solution is sub-optimal.
