Key notes

  • Microsoft integrates SharePoint eSignature with Adobe and Docusign.
  • For easier document signing, you can activate it in M365 Admin Center.
  • SharePoint will also support AI-powered data analysis tools, as announced earlier this month.

Microsoft has just announced that it’s launching SharePoint eSignature integration with Adobe and Docusign, meaning that you can initiate signature requests from documents within Microsoft 365 a lot, a lot easier.

The Redmond tech giant said that it’s expanding SharePoint eSignature by integrating with third-party providers—Adobe Acrobat Sign and Docusign are to name them. This integration, available in the US starting summer of 2024, guarantees secure storage of signed documents within Microsoft 365 and improves overall security and compliance.

You can use Adobe or Docusign integration within SharePoint eSignature by activating it from the M365 Admin Center and specifying the SharePoint sites where it should be used. The service is free to use, but customers need valid licenses with Adobe or Docusign.

Microsoft SharePoint’s eSignature feature makes it easy to request, sign, and store signatures within Microsoft 365, and your documents stay safe and compliant within the cloud. This feature is currently available only in the US and also allows you to track and manage each step of the signing process in real time.

Speaking of which, earlier this year, Microsoft also announced that it’s adding support for AI-powered data analysis tools in SharePoint. Folks over at Windows Report spotted a now-deleted entry on the roadmap site, saying that the company is “planning to provide an LLM-powered data analysis tools that admins can use to gain insights and actions.”
