Microsoft’s Word is one of its most popular and widely used apps. The app is available on the Web, Windows, Mac, Android, iOS, and Windows Phone. Word is most people’s go-to editor, but turns out, a lot of people use Google Docs when it comes to collaborative work. In a recent survey by Creative Strategies, it was revealed that a lot of students prefer Google Docs over Microsoft Word when they need to work on a document with their classmates. The research firm surveyed a total of 350 students — and 78% of them use Google Docs and 13% use Microsoft Word for collaborative work. On the other hand, when it comes to individual work, 80% use Microsoft Word and 12% use Google Docs.

This isn’t anything surprising as Google Docs includes some powerful tools and features for collaboration. Microsoft Word, on the other hand, isn’t doing bad either — the app also includes a lot of features for collaboration.

Microsoft Word is still a lot more popular than Google Docs, and the service has other tools that make it better than Google Docs for sure. If you do a lot of collaborative work, let us know if you use Google Docs or Microsoft Word in the comment section below.
