HTC HD7 Launched Officially In India

After unofficial availability for more than 2 weeks, HTC has partnered with India’s largest Mobile network provider Bharti Airtel to launch HTC HD7 in India with same specs and 16GB memory for Rs. 29,990 at all authorized HTC resellers across the country. Airtel customers will get exclusive data pack to download 2GB data per month for 6 months at Rs 300. However the device is not locked to Airtel, you can always switch to any network of your choice.

According to a press release,

Ajay Sharma, Country Head of  HTC India said

“Windows Phone 7 is an entirely fresh mobile experience, on which HTC is excited to be going big.  We see tremendous customer opportunities with the integration of Microsoft’s most popular services. The value Microsoft is bringing to mobile customers around the world sets a new benchmark for the industry and HTC is proud to be the first in bringing in the brand new Windows Phone 7 experience to India in partnership with Bharti Airtel.”

Bharti Airtel CMO-Mobile Services Shireesh Joshi said

“Combining the strength of the Airtel brand and network with the innovation and design of HTC and the great user-interface of Windows Phone 7, we are happy to bring another first for our customers that will take mobile communications to a whole new level,” .

Univercell,a leading mobile retailer has listed HD7 for Rs.27,885. Check it out here. Also HTC has confirmed that HTC 7 Mozart  will be launched in later part of January which has smaller screen size ,8 MP camera and 8GB memory as listed on HTC India website.
