Xbox Cloud Early Access

Xbox Cloud just dropped a major update that will support early access for games, starting with South of Midnight. This update was first announced by @redphx on X. They are known for their free tool that improves the Xbox Cloud experience across all devices. There is a condition that you must already own the premium edition of the game you want to get early access to. Obsidian Entertainment’s Avowed, another Xbox first-party game, launched in February. However, during the early access period, even the Premium Edition buyers could not play the game through Xbox cloud gaming.

People will be able to play the more expensive version of the game even before the standard edition is live. Xbox has already embraced this and allowed users to upgrade while playing through Xbox Game Pass. The Xbox ecosystem definitely gets better with this, and this might just go on to become a standard feature in the near future. This will also boost the sales numbers for the Premium Edition of games. Since users do not need a very high-end gaming setup to even try the game before it hits the market, users might also get bonus content for early access.
