Windows just got an update, and the highlight of this update is the new Start Menu. Well, it’s not entirely new, but some updates were added to the original Start menu. The most visible change is that the start menu is now bigger than before. The layout is bigger than before, and instead of having two separate windows of pinned and all apps. With all the list recommendations below, you can turn it off as well. Now, the pinned apps are limited to two rows only, but you can expand it if you want.
If you like to see your pinned applications without clicking on expand, you can do so by accessing the start menu settings. Simply access the settings and turn off “Show recently added apps.” You can also categ orize the applications based on their names and functionality. There are new animations as well. You also get the option to turn off the recommendation feed.

If you want to enable this new Start menu, you need to enable feature ID 49402389. If you do not already have these enabled, you’ll need the new All apps layouts enabled, too (IDs are 49221331,47205210), and as with every other new Insider feature, 48433719 if the ID above doesn’t work.
