Yep, that’s right – we’re releasing an official app for the Microsoft Band. It’s not really an app, it’s a Web Tile which acts pretty much like an app. For those who don’t know about Web Tiles, learn more about it here.
With the WMPoweruser app for Microsoft Band, you can now get the latest Windows Mobile and Microsoft news, rumors, and reports right on your wrist! If you’ve a Microsoft Band, here’s how to add the WMPU Web Tile to your Band:
- Download the Web Tilefrom this link on your phone (Windows Phone, Android or iOS) or visit WMPoweruser.com on your phone and open the hamburger menu and click on “Get our Microsoft Band Web Tile” to get the Web Tile.
- After downloading the Web Tile, open the file “wmpu.webtile” and follow the on-screen instructions to install it.
- Lastly, sync your Band with your Windows Phone, Android or iPhone and the WMPU App will now be available on your Band.
It’s worth noting that you should have the latest version of the Microsoft Band firmware installed to be able to install the Web Tile.
