Good news for Terminator fans everywhere: Terminator: Resistance – Complete Edition is coming to Xbox Series X|S in September and includes Terminator: Resistance for Xbox Series X|S, Terminator: Resistance Annihilation Line, and Infiltrator Mode.

The game won’t be available to Xbox Game Pass just yet, but it might come to it sooner than expected. You can get it free on Xbox Series X and S if you already own Terminator: Resistance. If not you can buy the Complete Edition for a discounted price of £11.99 / €14.49 / $14.49 via the Microsoft Store from October 27, according to the latest reports.

A lot of players are very excited about the game, considering we’re already living in the AI age. For those of you who don’t know, in the Terminator series, you need to fight against sentient AI robots that are bent on annihilating the human race. Users are nonetheless very excited about it:

I’m a huge Terminator fan and really wanted to like the game. It’s clearly made by people with reverence for the material doing the best they can in that AA-ish budget range and they also improved the game a lot as time had gone on in patches. The world also feels like it’s from the Terminator universe.

Beat this game and absolutely loved it. We need more AA games with this much love put into them. It was the perfect pallette cleanser and honestly one of the better gaming experiences I had that year.

While we don’t know yet if AI will become dangerous in the future, a lot of companies, including Microsoft, have been investing resources into research. Microsoft, for example, has been at the forefront of AI research right from the start, and the company has started to integrate AI into its products, including Microsoft Store, Microsoft Teams, and Windows 11.

On Windows 11, for example, Copilot will be released on the live servers this fall or even earlier. The Ai tool is set to revolutionize the way we use our PCs. What will it say about us destroying AI robots in Terminator? Well, we should just ask Copilot.
