Tekken 7 is the latest entry in Bandai Namco’s long-running 3D fighting game franchise, which last graced the Xbox with 2012’s Tekken Tag Tournament 2. Tekken 7’s Xbox One version got announced all the way back at Microsoft’s conference at E3 2016, and the team at Bandai Namco’s released a ton of new information about the game.

The biggest announcement is the game’s release date for home consoles (and PC) – June 2nd, 2017. That’s about two years after the game originally came to arcades in Japan and South Korea, and just below a year after the arcade version’s Fated Retribution update, which is what the console port is based on.

Alongside the release date announcement came news of various pre-order editions and bonuses, with Eliza – a returning character from the free to play Tekken Revolution – being a bonus for pre-ordering any version of the game. Additionally, pre-ordering the game through the Xbox Store will get you a free copy of Tekken 6, an Xbox 360 title that’s playable on the Xbox One through Backward Compatibility.

A trailer for the game’s story mode also came out today, and it can be found below.

Tekken 7’s got a large cast, boasting over thirty playable characters – with one of them being Street Fighter’s infamous Akuma. It looks like it’ll be a fantastic addition to the Xbox One’s library of fighting games, which is going to get some other great titles this year like Marvel VS Capcom 3, Injustice 2, and Marvel VS Capcom: Infinite.

You can pre-order Tekken 7 on Amazon here. The digital version in the Xbox Store can’t be pre-ordered at the time of writing, but you can bookmark it here as you wait.
