Microsoft is gearing up to launch a new version of its Surface Go tablet later this month. The Surface Go is the most affordable device in the Surface lineup, offering a 10-inch touchscreen and a detachable keyboard. The Surface Go 2023 is expected to retain the same design as the previous model, but with some improvements under the hood.
According to leaks, the Surface Go 4 (2023) will be powered by the Intel Processor N200, a new entry-level mobile processor from the Alder Lake-N series that was announced in early 2023. The Intel N200 has four cores and can reach up to 3.7 GHz of clock speed, which should provide a noticeable boost in performance compared to the Intel Pentium Gold 6500Y processor that was used in the Surface Go 2019.
The Surface Go 4 (2023) will also come with more RAM and storage options than before. The base model will have 8GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, while the higher-end models will have 128GB or 256GB of storage. The current Surface Go model starts at €439, but it only has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The Surface Go 2023 will start at €490 for the base model, €580 for the 128GB model, and €670 for the 256GB model, according to a French retailer that listed the device on its website.
The Surface Go 4 (2023) will likely run Windows 11 out of the box, which is Microsoft’s latest operating system that features a redesigned user interface, improved multitasking, and support for Android apps. The Surface Go 2023 will also be compatible with the Surface Pen and the Surface Type Cover, which are sold separately.
The Surface Go 4 (2023) is expected to be unveiled at a Microsoft event on September 22, along with other new Surface devices such as Surface Laptop Studio and Surface Laptop Go. The Surface Go 2023 will be an attractive option for those who are looking for a portable and affordable Windows tablet that can handle basic tasks such as web browsing, email, and office work.
