Meta Ray Ban Smart Glasses

Samsung is reportedly developing next-gen smart glasses and also a head-mounted unit for release in late 2025. The products are said to include extended reality (XR) and artificial intelligence (AI) tech to provide consumers with new immersive experiences.

Samsung’s smart glasses will use Android XR

According to ET News, the company is developing a pair of smart glasses, codenamed “Haean”, that will use the Android XR platform, an operating system designed for headsets and smart glasses with mixed-reality capabilities. This project, known as “Project Moohan,” seeks to undercut competitors like Meta and Apple with less expensive and more adaptable options.

The incorporation of AI, particularly Google’s Gemini voice assistant, will enhance natural language interaction and allow features to have real-time translation and object detection capabilities. Samsung phones in the future will be capable of virtual reality and augmented reality apps, catering to users’ varied requirements.

Samsung’s emphasis on bringing AI to its entire product line was shown at the Mobile World Congress 2025 in Barcelona, where the firm unveiled the Galaxy S25 series and the Project Moohan headset. The headset is a marriage of AI and XR technology, demonstrating Samsung’s dedication to innovation in immersive technology.
