While the notch-design was a step closer to achieving the all-screen display goal, many smartphone manufacturers were able to provide various alternatives to the notch design, one of them being the punch-hole, a design that you will see in premium Samsung Galaxy S10 series, Note 10 series, and the upcoming OnePlus 8.
Joining Samsung and OnePlus will be Huawei. The render of upcoming Nova 6 5G got leaked, courtesy of 91mobiles. The render suggests that Nova 6 will look a lot like the Samsung Galaxy S10+ from the front as the former appears to be rocking a Galaxy S10 Plus-like hole-punch display that will house two cameras for taking selfies. The hole-punch design will appear on the top left corner of the display.
However, the hole-punch design is not new in the Nova series of smartphones, Nova 4 also comes with a similar design, but the difference is that the Nova 6 is going to feature two cameras instead of just one, unlike the Nova 4. Beyond the hole-punch design, the Galaxy S10+ and the upcoming Nova 6 do not have much in common.
Aside from the dual front camera, the Nova 6 has minor bezels around and a small chin at the bottom. Three vertically aligned cameras sit at the top left corner of the back of the smartphone. Other camera features include LED flash, AI camera, 3D ToF sensor.
Since we haven’t seen any fingerprint sensor, we’re expecting an in-display fingerprint sensor at the front. The smartphone will have 5G support. The price and other specs are not known at this moment, but rumor has it that Huawei will launch the Nova 6 sometime in December this year.
