If you’re currently experiencing issues sending and receiving Skype messages, you’re not alone. Skype is currently experiencing an as yet unspecified issue which is [preventing some users from sending or receiving chat messages. As Skype is a chat platform, you can see how this can be a problem.
In a short post on the Skype heartbeat blog, a Microsoft Engineer alerted users that “We are aware of a problem, where users may not be able to send or receive Skype chat messages. Our engineering team is already on the case!”
Users can expect this Skype issue to resolve itself by the end of the day, but if you do run unto it, don’t freak out. It’s not just you.
