I saw lots of queries about the power supply for the newly announced Surface 3 device. Power Supply on Surface 3 is different than the one for Surface Pro 3. Surface 3 comes with a lighter, thinner 13W Power Supply that only works with Surface 3. It is not compatible with any other Surface devices. You can also charge Surface 3 using any micro USB charger (like those used for charging certain smartphones) or portable micro USB battery packs. Charging speeds may vary.
Charge your Surface 3 extra fast while you work with the 13-watt Power Supply. This slim cord and adapter reaches behind furniture and into other hard-to-reach outlets with no problem. And you can charge another device like your phone with the micro USB port located on the Power Supply.
Designed exclusively for your Surface 3, the 13-watt Power Supply charges your tablet quickly, even while you work.
