As is tradition, each new month brings two new free games for all PlayStation Plus subscribers. The October lineup won’t disappoint, especially if you’re excited for The Last of Us Part II.

The two big and totally free hits for PlayStation Plus subscribers this month are The Last of Us: Remastered and MLB The Show 19.

Seeing as October is traditionally a spooky month thanks to Halloween, The Last of Us: Remastered is the perfect game for the season.

The Last of Us: Remastered contains both The Last of Us and The Last of Us: Left Behind. Be aware that the trailer below contains spoilers!

The Last of Us takes place 20 years after a plague has wiped out most of mankind, leaving behind a trail of infection and chaos in its wake. Joel is hired to smuggle 14-year-old Ellie across what’s left of America: a task that’s hard enough as it is without plague-infected beings trying to kill you.

The Last of Us: Left Behind focuses on Ellie’s relationship with Riley, Ellie’s best friend from a military boarding school they both attended. Riley reappears after going missing for several weeks and the duo sneak out together, only to end up in a life-changing situation.

In related news, The Last of Us: Part II comes out on February 21st, 2020.

In a stark contrast to the infected drama that comes with The Last of Us, MLB The Show 19 is all about baseball.

Players can relive and recreate the biggest MLB moments in history with the aptly named game feature Moments. You can also create your own player and rise through the ranks in Road to the Show or take up the mantle of one of baseball’s greatest stars and play against others in Diamond Dynasty.

As a nice bonus, MLB The Show 19 is also set to get new content in October, including the legendary Ted Williams. There’s also free in-game content available for PlayStation Plus players who pick up the game during the October period, including five free packs that are guaranteed to include at least one Diamond player for your Diamond Dynasty team.

Both The Last of Us: Remastered and MLB The Show 19 will be available to download for the low low price of nothing for all PlayStation Plus subscribers between October 1st and November 4th.

Meanwhile, PlayStation Plus subscribers still have an opportunity to pick up Batman: Arkham Knight and Darksiders III for completely free until the end of the month.
