The PBS Video app came to Windows 10 earlier this year, and now the Universal Windows App has made the jump to phones also.
The app lets you enjoy the most popular shows from PBS anywhere, anytime, including Masterpiece hits like Poldark, Downton Abbey, Mr. Selfridge, Wolf Hall, as well as Mercy Street, Nature, NOVA, and more. “PBS Video” features thousands of full-length videos from your favorite PBS shows and local stations with new videos added daily.
It features:
- Quick access to TV times and channels for your favorite PBS programs (coming soon)
- Live tiles display new episodes
- Customize your lock screen picture with PBS themed backgrounds
- See what’s on your local PBS station
- Learn more about PBS show and specific episodes
- Bookmark favorite shows and episodes for easy retrieval
The update, which brought support for Windows 10 Mobile, also brought:
- Now supported on Windows 10 mobile phones, as well as Windows 10 tablets
- Cortana command support now in
- Fixed video player issues
- Added show schedules view and search functionality
