Oppo's amazing Oppo X 2021 concept phone has an expandable OLED screen

Oppo held its Inno Day event today, showing off their latest innovations, and one device is capturing the imagination of the internet.

Their Oppo X 2021 concept is a 6.7 inch smartphone which can expand to 7.4 inches.

Ray4Tesla posted a hands-on video which demonstrates the device in action.

The device uses an OLED screen wrapped around the inner shell of the device on a “warp track”.

The device itself uses a 2-in-1 Plate construction which expands simultaneously for structural support.

Oppo says they have 122 patents on the device, including 12 for the scroll mechanism and Oppo says they hope to bring the device to market “at the right time” (possible 2022).
