When we first heard the specs on the Samsung Omnia W we called it “pathetic”, not because they were particularly low, but because we in Europe deserved access to a high end handset by Samsung also, and the Omnia W was not a worthy successor to the Samsung Omnia 7.

Hearing about the Samsung Focus S assuaged our concerns a bit, as it appeared Samsung would be releasing a family of devices for all price points.

Now a worrying comment from the AsiaD conference has us inflamed once again.

According the a Samsung spokesman at the conference "the only Windows phone Samsung is expecting for this region within the year is the Samsung Omnia W".

If this is the same for Europe also, which is rather possible as there have been no leaks at all of the Focus S coming here, I am right back to calling the Samsung Omnia W pathetic.

We deserve more than that here.
