Office for Android’s July 2017 feature update arrives early for Insiders

Microsoft releases at least one feature update for the Office apps on Android, iOS, and Windows. We are just a few hours away from the first day of July, and Microsoft has already started testing the new July 2017 feature update for the Office apps on Android with users part of the Office Insider program. The new update brings new features to PowerPoint and Word, but they are not anything major.

First and foremost, you can now copy and paste with formatting into your documents which means if you are copying a text with a different font or text color, pasting it into Word will retain those formatting. Microsoft is also adding the ability to set custom margins for Word documents, which is something a good amount of users were missing on the app. And lastly, Word now lets you search and copy text on PDF files with the latest update.

As for PowerPoint, Microsoft is bringing comments to the app which will let you add, edit, delete, and reply to comments in your presentations right from your smartphone once you install the latest update. If you’re an Office Insider in the Fast Ring, you can get the latest updates (version 16.0.8229.2011) for Word here, Excel here, and PowerPoint here.
