Although Windows 10 May 2019 Update didn’t cause many critical issues and the roll-out was also smooth compared to that of the previous version, the latest update is not free of flaws. DPC latency was one of the issues that the latest Windows version of Windows 10 was facing and users were reporting about since the arrival of the update.
Now some good news. Microsoft’s latest cumulative update KB4505903, which was rolled out to the public the day before yesterday, for Windows 10 1903( i.e., Windows 10 May 2019 Update) added a fix for the DPC latency issue. Interestingly enough, Microsoft didn’t mention it in their list of fixed issues.
The Windows 10 1903 DPC latency spike issue (causing audio glitches on some PCs) is fixed in KB4505903. You should see that come through Windows Update normally, shortly. If in a hurry, you can grab the stand-alone installer from here: https://t.co/0QOc4RkzU4

For those unaware, DPC, short for Deferred Procedure Call, is a part of the Windows system which takes care of the driver efficiency. Spikes of high DPC latency can cause your audio interface driver from responding in time, which in turn causes distortion of audio.
If your PC is facing the DPC latency issue, you should install the cumulative update right now by heading over to the Settings app and Check for Update, or else you can download the latest cumulative update manually from here.
