Microsoft has published a new app to the Windows Store.

The Deals Hub app will inform users (in USA it seems) of great discounts and offers on their favorite content from the Windows Store.  The app lets you browse current deals for apps, games, music, movies and TV shows, and then easily acquire that content from the Store.

The app also features notifications on the Windows desktop and Live Tile to keep users updated on the latest offers.

See screen shots of the app below:

Microsoft is working to establish the Windows Store as a legitimate platform for developers in the fight against Android and iOS.  Microsoft is going all out to promote the Windows Store to Windows 10 desktop users, and has reported some success, with 2.5 billion visits to the store since the launch of Windows 10, and  times more engagement with apps than Windows 8.

Deals are an important part of this, with Microsoft reporting that during their recent 10 Cent Deals promotion, they saw a 29X increase for paid app purchases, with strong repeat traffic, with 75% first time store users.

The new app (which seems for US-only users for now) can be found in the Windows Store here.
