Key notes

  • Microsoft is working to bring a new feature called “Help me create.”
  • Specifically for the Microsoft 365 web, it’s a “Copilot-like” feature.
  • This feature has been available in a preview since October 2023 and is launching fully this month.

Microsoft has been hard at work to bring a new feature called “Help me create,” more specifically for the Microsoft 365 web (microsoft365.com).

As the company shared recently on its roadmap site (Feature ID: 383010), it’s similar to their existing AI assistant Copilot, and designed to be secure, compliant, and private.

While details are still emerging, Microsoft’s “Help me create” feature on the 365 web seems likely to offer similar assistance as Copilot, based on its description as a “content creation feature.” Perhaps we’ll see a Copilot-like side panel integrated directly into the web interface? An email summarizer? A dedicated, clickable “Help me create” button? Who knows.

This exciting feature, powered by Copilot for Microsoft 365, is already (and quietly) available in a preview since October last year and will be fully launched within this February month.

Previously called Microsoft Office, Microsoft 365 is a suite of productivity and collaboration tools that includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and more.

And as Microsoft is pushing more for AI to be at the forefront of its products, the hotly-wanted Copilot assistant tool has helped Microsoft to hit the highest market cap ever. Not only will future Windows laptops have a dedicated Copilot key on the keyboard, but it will be a default experience any time soon.
