Microsoft today surprised everyone by announcing the new Surface earbuds. The new Surface Earbuds is a truly wireless earbuds that works with any Bluetooth device and comes with dual mic array and 24 hours of battery life. It will also work with digital assistants such as Siri and Google Assistant. Surface Earbuds feature the Surface Omnisonic sound profile — with custom-designed drivers and precision tuning inspired by listening to the world’s best live music venues and most advanced audio equipment, delivering an audio experience that’s rich, immersive and crystal clear.

Surface Earbuds comes with touch gesture support, allowing you to control applications without using a mobile device. For example, on Android devices, you can tap to automatically open Spotify app and start playing your favorite music. Microsoft also mentioned that Surface Earbuds will come with Office apps integration. For example, it will support real-time translation to 60+ languages.

Featuring an ultra-comfortable and stable fit, Surface Earbuds offer intuitive touch and voice controls for music, calls and more. Experience rich, immersive Omnisonic sound, and instantly play Spotify from your Android phone with a triple tap on either earbud.

The Surface Earbuds will be available for $249 later this year.
