Samsung yesterday announced its Galaxy S8 and S8+ devices. Aside from being generally beautiful devices with fast hardware and beautiful software, we opined that they also take concepts that Windows phone fans appreciate and put them into a solidly designed package,
Now, Microsoft has announced that they will sell these two phones to you with the optional Microsoft pre-loads.
Today Microsoft and Samsung continue their partnership to help businesses harness the power of mobility by featuring the best business productivity apps and software. Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Microsoft Edition are available to pre-order now and for purchase beginning April 21 at U.S. Microsoft Store locations.
A Microsoft customization is applied to the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Microsoft Edition when the devices are unboxed and connected to Wi-Fi,This customization ensures customers a best-in-class productivity experience with Microsoft applications such as Office, OneDrive, Cortana, Outlook and more.”
This purchase experience is of course limited to those who pick up the devices from Microsoft Store in the USA, where they will become available from the 21st of April.
While Microsoft previously allowed Android manufacturers to pre-load devices with select mobile apps, this is the first time that the firm is harnessing an Android handset – one this popular – in this manner. It’d be nice if other flagships like the LG G6 and Huawei P10 could be customized in this manner,
