Microsoft Social Engagement enables collecting data from social media defined by specific search criteria. The collected data is presented in charts and graphs, and provides an overview of the positive, negative, or neutral feedback from your customers and users. Microsoft yesterday released Social Engagement 2017 Update 1.2 with new features and bug fixes.

With this new update, Microsoft is bringing a new recommendation type called Get Insights. This new type offers recommendations for posts about your customers, competitors, and other topics of interest, so you can stay on top of the latest developments. You can now get a separate set of recommendations each for sharing content and insights.

With this update, any new action your team takes will show directly in the post list with the respective number indicator on the matching action’s button. The engagement action history now also cover actions done on private message. They have also fixed few bugs in this update.
