Can’t afford Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 yet? Well, we’ve got some good news for you.
Microsoft is now offering Free Play Days featuring Black Ops 6, and you can play it for free for a limited time until February 9, 2025. But, it’s only the multiplayer and zombie modes, so unfortunately you won’t really get full access to that.
Still, though, you can purchase them at discounted prices and keep your progress during the event. Discounts vary by title and region—Black Ops 6 is now discounted to $48.99 from $69.99.
Black Ops 6 printed so much money for Microsoft that, after its launch back in October 2024, Xbox Game Pass subscribers count went up. It contributed to a surge in Game Pass subscriptions and a 60% rise in unit sales on PlayStation and Steam, despite a 29% decline in Xbox hardware sales.
On PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S’ rival, Black Ops 6 continues to dominate as the most downloaded game on PS5 for three consecutive months since its October 2024 launch. It topped the charts in the US for October and November and ranked second in the EU, behind EA FC 25.
Black Ops 6 even broke records for player count, hours played, and matches in its first 30 days. Its availability on Game Pass also contributed to a drop in US game spending and an 8% rise in game subscriptions.
Xbox’s Free Play Days this period also features NBA 2K25 exclusively for Xbox Game Pass members and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants Unleashed for all.
