Microsoft has recorded quite a good past three months. The Redmond company said during a recent earnings report for Q2 of the fiscal year 2024 that paid Office 365 seats have grown by 400 million or 9% from the same period last year.

The tech maker explains that growth happens in all sorts of businesses and organizations, especially in SMBs (small and medium businesses) and frontline workers.

“Office commercial revenue grew 15% and 13% in constant currency. Office 365 commercial revenue increased 17% and 16% in constant currency, in line with expectations, driven by healthy renewal execution and ARPU growth from continued E5 momentum,” Microsoft says further.

While Microsoft suffered from a 9% decrease in device sales despite launching new Surface devices last year, the company enjoyed an 18% increase in revenue, making a total of $62 billion. The tech maker also recorded a net income of $21,9 billion.

The best-performing selling points come from Windows OEMs and Xbox sectors, especially since sales influenced by the Activision Blizzard acquisition entered into the equation. It recorded an 11% increase in OEM revenue growth, following the previous period’s record, and Xbox content and service revenue (including the Game Pass subscriptions) surged by 61%.
