Microsoft recently released some of the upcoming features for the Xbox One that’s coming with the Windows 10 Creators Update. The update included an improved dashboard, along with a revamped Guide feature which focuses on improving the overall performance of the Xbox One dashboard.

The Windows 10 Creators Update, however, will kill Xbox One’s Snap Mode feature which allowed users to multitask on their Xbox One. Microsoft’s Mike Ybarra recently announced on Twitter that the company is killing Snap Mode to reduce memory usage, improve multitasking and improve the overall speed of the Xbox dashboard:

What’s quite interesting is that Ybarra mentioned the software is replacing Snap Mode for “bigger things” going forward — while it isn’t quite clear what exactly the company plans to do, but recent reports hinted on a new picture-in-picture mode which will certainly be quite interesting.
