At Build 2017 today, Microsoft today announced some major upgrades for its Cognitive Services. Harry Shum, the executive vice president of Microsoft’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Research group today demoed a new feature for PowerPoint. The company is bringing a new Presentation Translator for PowerPoint that will be able to translate presentations in real time. Presentation Translator is using Microsoft’s newly announced Translator APIs to enable this functionality.

Presentation Translator won’t actually show the translated slides in real-time — instead, it will provide live transcriptions of the presenter into a specific language and viewers will be able to get a unique link for a specific language.
