At its press event today, Microsoft today announced the new revolutionary dual-screen Surface device. The new Surface Neo is powered by Intel processor and comes with dual 9-inch displays connected by a 360-degree hinge in the middle. Microsoft created a thinnest LCD stack to develop this dual-screen device. Surface Neo just weighs 655 grams and each part of the display is 5.6mm thick.

The Surface Neo also supports a new hardware keyboard accessory. When the keyboard is placed on one of the display, the device recognizes it and allows you to start using it as an input device. Unlike other Surface devices, the new Surface Neo is powered by Windows 10X, a new edition of Windows designed for dual-screen devices. The Surface Neo also supports Surface Pen and the pen can be attached magnetically to the device. When attached, the Surface Pen will be charging automatically.

Inside Surface Neo, there is a Intel Lakefield processor that is designed specifically for dual-screen devices like this. Microsoft claims that the new Surface Neo is not another device, it is the next category.

The Surface Neo will be available next year during the holiday season.
