This game could be great, but the staggering frame rate really hurts it.
Overall Score: 3/5
The frame rate brings down the experience, but if you can look past that, the gameplay is decently fun, and there’s a nice amount of lasting value.
Gameplay: 3/5
With the annoying frame rate, I can’t enjoy this game as much as I wanted to. The controls can also be a little weird, and the brake unfortunately doesn’t let you power-slide your kart. The power-ups in the game are decent, but don’t have a good enough variety like Mario Kart does. There are some fun game modes though, like the Challenge mode. If the visuals were better, this would have been more fun!
Presentation: 1/5
Developers often seem to give Windows Phone the short end of the stick, and this game is no exception. The frame rate is jumpy, and visuals are constantly popping in further ahead along the track. The ONE song in the game also gets really annoying… seriously, one song?
Lasting Value: 4/5
This game has a ton of different modes that will surely keep you entertained if you are okay with the frame rate! Plus, there’s even online multiplayer that might work when the sun aligns with the moon and the werewolves start eating the pigs falling from the sky (no one has been online to play with when I tried). But the variety of gameplay modes are excellent, and are a good example of how all games should be in terms of having multiple different modes to explore!
