Update: Xbox’s official Twitter account has confirmed that it will be available today.

It also adds “a host of additional visual updates, including improved car reflections and shadow resolutions, improved texture detail for road and terrain surfaces, and more.”

Original: Yesterday people on Reddit found that Forza Horizon 3 was showing up on their Xbox One as an Xbox One X enhanced game. While it appeared to be an error at the time, it looks like it was just listed on the page prematurely and its Xbox One X update should be rolling out sometime today (via WCCFTech).

The update is meant to bring native 4K resolution support to Playground Games’ popular racer. It’s unclear what other specific enhancements, if any, the update will entail. Forza Horizon 3 already looks gorgeous on an Xbox One and supports HDR on the Xbox One S.

Microsoft’s list of Xbox One X enhanced games still lists Forza Horizon 3’s update as “coming soon,” but players should be seeing it roll out around 1PM EST going by the times that previous updates have released.

If you’re just itching to play a Forza game in 4K HDR, you can jump into Forza Motorsport 7 right now, which is already Xbox One X enhanced.

Let us know when you’re able to download the update for Forza Horizon 3 and what improvements you notice.
