Dell has debuted the brand new Alienware Aurora R9 desktop during Gamescom 2019, with the desktop boasting an even sleeker and lighter design than ever before.
Right away, you’ll be struck by the beautifully minimalist design of the new desktop. Dell has done away with the clunkier look of the R8, with the R9 looking far more rounded and streamlined.
The R9 is available in two colors: a color block black and white case and the matte black design. This aesthetic revamp brings the Alienware Aurora into the modern age and aligns with Alienware’s new ‘design identity’.
You can check out the R9’s futuristic new design in the gallery below:
The company claims that the new Aurora, based on the Legend Industrial design, delivers higher airflow efficiency than its predecessor. That means that there’s less obstruction, temperatures are dropped by up to 8% more than its predecessor, and it just produces lower temperatures overall.
The Aurora R9’s internal processors strongly mirror its predecessor, using Intel’s up-to-and-latest 9th Gen Core processors and Nvidia GeForce graphics cards. Still, the R9 does come with more graphics offerings than before.
The Alienware Aurora will be available for purchase on August 20th, with prices starting at a modest $970.
