December is almost upon us and with the new month comes four new free games for all Xbox Live Gold members.
As always, the lineup consists of two older games and two Xbox One games. All games are available on Xbox One courtesy of Xbox’s Backward Compatibility program.
This time round, Xbox Live Gold members can play Insane Robots, Jurassic World Evolution, Toy Story 3, and Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate HD.
If you’re an Xbox Live Gold member and have yet to pick up November’s games, you still have time to pick up Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter, which is available for free until November 30th, The Final Station, which is available until December 15th, and Joy Ride Turbo, which is also free until November 30th.
First up is the Xbox One game Insane Robots, which is free from December 1st until December 31st.
Obliterate the competition in the unique card battler, Insane Robots. With a collection of 46+ deliciously diverse robots, compete in one-on-one duels, lead a robot rebellion in survival arenas or embark on an epic 15 hour+ campaign to overthrow a malevolent robot despot.
The other Xbox One game available is Jurassic World Evolution, hence the terrible pun in the title. Jurassic World Evolution will be free from December 16th until January 15th.
Welcome to Jurassic World Evolution! Bring the wonder, majesty and inherent dangers of dinosaurs to life as you take charge of operations in the legendary park. Bioengineer dinosaurs with unique appearances and traits that think and react intelligently to the world around them and face threats posed by espionage, breakouts and devastating tropical storms in an uncertain world where life always finds a way.
Toy Story 3 is up next, originally on Xbox 360 and going for free from December 1st until December 15th.

Last, but definitely not least, is Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate HD. The game will be free from December 16th until December 31st.
The story of the Belmont family is revealed in Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate HD. Battle destiny across generations as Trevor Belmont, knight of the Brotherhood of Light. Driven by vengeance for his slain mother, faceoff against his father, Gabriel, the all-powerful Dracula.
