Bohemia Interactive confirms that DayZ is in closed preview for select Xbox Insiders and Xbox employees

Update: Bohemia Interactive has confirmed in a blog post that DayZ is coming to Xbox Game Preview in the near future. Preliminary testing of a closed preview has already begun for a small set of Xbox Insiders and Xbox employees. The studio asks that players wait until Gamescom for further announcements regarding when it will launch into Xbox Game Preview.

Original: Bohemia Interactive recently released Vigor into Xbox Game Preview, but it doesn’t look like the developer is stopping there. The studio’s previous title, DayZ, was announced for Xbox One at E3 2015 with the intention of launching into the Xbox Game Preview program. Unfortunately, those plans haven’t materialized as of yet, but a listing on the Xbox Store appears it could indeed be happening soon.

Players on Reddit have posted images of the game’s listing on the Xbox Store, along with noting that Xbox employees have been seen playing the game, such as Larry Hryb.

The listing indicates that DayZ will be Xbox One X enhanced with 4K resolution, though it doesn’t offer any more details as to other enhancements. According to Windows Central, it is also listed as “coming soon” and will require around 12.9GB of hard drive space.
