Mortal Kombat 11 may be universally annoying players in the Towers of Time mode, but PC players have their exclusive frustrations: framerate locks.
Much like Injustice 2 and Mortal Kombat X before it, MK 11 does play at 60fps during fights. However, when performing a Fatal Blow or Fatality, the game drops down to 30fps.
It’s not a big deal, but these framerate constraints are due to console hardware. As these cinematic moments push higher quality effects, consoles lower the framerate for smoother visuals. Higher-spec PC players, however, want to be able to push the game if their hardware is capable of it.
Enter “60fps and Ultrawide Mod for Mortal Kombat 11”, a mod by Endri Lauson. Not only does this mod remove the 60fps cap, but it also removes black bars on the sides of menus and The Kyrpt for 21:9 monitor users.
You can download the mod here if you wish to play Mortal Kombat 11 as a smoother and fuller experience.
