Microsoft is reportedly working to bring the feature that lets you copy paste images on Bing AI chat, as seemingly confirmed by the Redmond-based tech giant.
Not too long ago, the Redmond-based tech giant rolled out the multimodal/image understanding feature on the popular chatbot after being rigorously tested for quite some time. The announcement was well-received, particularly because Google’s Bard, a competitor to Bing AI chat, had already offered this feature for a considerable period.
Users now have three options to choose from when using the feature: they can either paste a URL link of the image, upload it from their device, or take a photo.
At that time, however, there was a minor concern with the chatbot’s image recognition feature. Users faced the limitation of being unable to upload an image and utilize the voice input/microphone feature simultaneously. Additionally, unlike Bard, they were unable to directly paste images into the chat.
Mikhail Parakhin, the company’s CEO of Advertising & Web Services, acknowledged the problem and confirmed that the team is actively working on “fixing” it. He mentioned that the issue will be fixed, and users can expect it to be fully functional by next week.
While Bing AI chat allows users to paste a URL link of the image, it’s uncertain whether copying and pasting the image directly into the chat is possible. Similarly, Google’s Bard offers this feature but might not fully support handling images of people at the moment.
