Facebook found a new way of connecting its users. The social media giant will soon let you add your hobbies on Facebook and that’s not all, you will also be able to display them on your profile so that others can see it.
It goes beyond just adding and displaying hobbies. The feature will help you find and connect to users with common hobbies.
Facebook will suggest you popular hobbies but besides those from Facebook, you’ll get to add your own. For example, if you want to add something like ‘Reading MSPoweruser article’ as your hobby, you can do that.
The social media giant is also developing a Dating feature which is yet to launch. I think the ability to add hobbies will complement the Dating feature as this will make things easier for you to find a date with whom you share some common interests. Still, Facebook won’t turn into a full-fledged dating app like Matchpub.
The feature is currently in the development phase and not available for the public. This was first spotted by Jane Manchun Wong, a computer science student famous for reverse engineering apps.
