According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple is planning to remove Lightning connector in the top-end iPhone model releasing in the second half of 2021. This iPhone model will be the first iPhone to offer a completely wireless experience.
Right now, there are only two main differences between iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro. Apart from the OLED display and an extra lens, iPhone 11 Pro models offer the same user experience as iPhone 11 model. This situation will change in 2021 according to this analyst. Kuo mentioned that Apple is planning to create more differentiation between the regular and pro models.
We already know that Apple is planning to release a low-cost iPhone that will feature a 4.7-inch LCD display and looks of the existing iPhone 8 device. This new iPhone SE2 will be powered by the Apple A13 processor and will come with 3GB LPDDR4X RAM allowing all the latest apps to run comfortably. There will also be 64GB and 128GB storage options. And consumers can choose the device from Space Gray, Silver and Red color options. Like the iPhone SE, the iPhone SE2 is expected to be priced at $399.
Ming-Chi Kuo today revealed that Apple will launch the iPhone SE2 Plus in the first half of 2021 with a display size of 5.5 or 6.1-inch. This upcoming iPhone SE2 Plus will have a smaller notch as the Face ID will be replaced by Touch ID power button on the side.
