Apple has quietly dropped the new AirPods which comes with a bunch of new features and improvements over the first generation of AirPods. The new AirPods carry the same design and have changes underneath.

The new AirPods come with the latest H1 chipset which improves the battery life while preserving the performance. The new AirPods come with 50% more talk time and are 2x faster than the first generation of AirPods. The new AirPods will also feature “Hey Siri” making it easier to change songs, make a call, adjust the volume or get directions simply by saying, “Hey Siri.”

The new AirPods will $159 if bought with a standard case and will cost $199 if bought with a wireless charging case. Both the variants of AirPods are now available for pre-order in the US. Customers can order the new AirPods from Apple’s website starting today or in offline stores starting next week. For a limited time, Apple is offering free engraving on the case if you place the order from Apple’s website or from the Apple Store app. The custom engraving can be added to the case during the checkout. For the existing customers, Apple is offering the new wireless charging case separately. The case alone will cost $79 and is available for pre-order online starting today and in offline stores starting next week.
