Apple started a new trend of true wireless earphones when it launched the AirPods back in 2016. Unfortunately, the expensive earphones never saw an upgrade. However, things might change in 2019 as Apple is finally rumoured to give AirPods a refresh with better features and performance.
The news comes from Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst who is known for his perfect predictions related to Apple products. Kou said that Apple plans to launch AirPods 2 in 2019 which will be an upgrade to the existing AirPods. The new AirPods will come with wireless charging, Bluetooth 5.0, and W-series chip. The new AirPods are rumoured to launch somewhere in the first quarter of 2019. Not only that, Apple is working on another set of AirPods which will be a major overhaul compared to the existing ones. These AirPods will offer a new user experience and have a deep level of integration with iOS and Mac devices. There is no word on when they will launch but rumours point towards a 2020 launch.
