Microsoft has pushed out an update to the Touch settings app in Windows 10 Mobile.
The app lets users the responsiveness of their touch screen to suit them, allowing users to set their touchscreen to respond while wearing most types of gloves, wake with a double tap (depending on handset) and set their Windows keys to vibrate.
The update unfortunately does not bring back double tap to wake to the Lumia 950 XL, but hopefully means touches more reliably do what you intend.
The updated app can be found in the store here.
