Star Wars Battlefront II’s multiplayer beta took place at the beginning of the month and it looks like the top players are getting rewards for their time spent in the game. One Reddit user posted that they had received a $60 Microsoft gift card for being on the leaderboard for most hours played (via Eurogamer).
The top 1000 leaderboard for the Star Wars Battlefront II beta can be viewed here. It appears that it accounts for time played, though other factors may be involved. The top players racked up over 25,000 hours combined according to the site. The beta ran from October 6-11. The promotion appears to be an Xbox Live only offer with players being directed to redeem their rewards by logging into their accounts.
Other players who received prizes were given Xbox Live Gold memberships for three months. The prizes are not listed on the website, so we do not know what other rewards players may be able to receive in addition to Gold memberships and Microsoft gift cards.
Star Wars Battlefront II launches on November 17, 2017 and can be preordered here. I’m sure if you played enough of the beta to make the leaderboard then you are eagerly awaiting its release. It’s nice to see players rewarded for their dedication to the game, and even better that it was a surprise. If you didn’t get a chance to play the beta but are interested in the game, you can read our impressions.
