Sometimes when projects get cancelled the prototypes associated with that project become abandoned and leak out. We saw that repeatedly with the Sony Ericsson Julie and also with the LG Fantasy.
Now with the impending sale of Nokia’s Vertu subsidiary, it seems an early prototype of a Vertu Windows Phone 8 handset has leaked on Chinese Windows Phone forum WinXAP.com
As can be seen above the Vertu-branded handset has a ground-breaking 64 GB of storage, adding some credibility to the leak.
The handset features Vertu’s typically brutish industrial design.
Settings feature the old Find My Phone page, but also has a new Cloud Storage setting page, suggesting this is an integrated feature in Windows Phone 8.
The leaker also claimed current Windows Phone handsets will be upgradable to Windows Phone 8, but with reduced feature sets.
