If you’re looking for a simple timer that has multiple timers and runs in the background, Timer is available for FREE on your Mango phone!
With the new Mango developer tools, apps can finally trigger alarms to fire even when the app isn’t open. Timer, by Christian Dullweber, is one of the first apps to take advantage of this. His app is extremely simple yet functional. You can set as many timers as you want, and set them from 1 second to 24 hours long. When the set time expires, a typical alarm window pops up telling you that the time is up. There is another app in the Marketplace, SuperTimer, that’s also Mango enabled, but it doesn’t allow multiple timers like this app does.
You can find Timer in the Marketplace by searching “Timer Mango”, and it will be the second result, or by clicking on the link below. The app does require Mango! It even has a neat little Live Tile that tells you at what time the timer will fire (since Live Tiles can’t actually count live seconds). It would be nice if it had an option to pause the timers, but nevertheless, it’s a great app with multiple timers!
